The world's leading supplier of canopy fabric
Sunbrella is one of Kapell & Annat's major suppliers of canopy fabric through Sunbrella Plus but also for outdoor cushions and cockpit cushions.
European manufacturing

How to create the canopy fabric in solution-dyed acrylics
-
Fiber is dyed through
All fibers in a solution-dyed acrylic are dyed in the same or similar color as the fabric. This allows the canopy fabric to achieve the high color fastness and durability required by the ISO classifications.
-
The cloth is woven
The warp of the cloth is prepared for weaving together with the weft in the looms. Dickson-Constant uses state of the art machinery for exceptional quality
-
The fabric is treated
The canopy fabric undergoes a wide range of chemical and heat treatments to achieve the various properties that Sunbrella Plus canopy fabric maintains. For example, anti-mold, UV resistance, water resistance, etc.
-
Testing and quality control
A rigorous inspection is carried out. First, a series of tests are carried out to verify that the ISO certifications are maintained, then every meter of fabric is inspected both by a person and mechanically for weaving defects.
